Teresia is a single lady with two children who attend school. She has a tree nursery where she has been selling seedlings for six years. She also earns a living from dairy farming. She was previously employed in Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI). She is a member of Faulu Kenya, which is a partner of Kiva. She feels her business has expanded from having 5,000 seedlings to 20,000 seedlings. She has requested a loan of Kes.40,000 to buy a cow and to pay school fees for her children. She hopes to educate her children, buy a piece of land, and build her own house instead of paying house rent. She sees herself being a major supplier of milk and having more cows on her farm.
