Mr. Konr V., age 52, is a construction foreman who has many employees to help provide his service. Konr V. is married and has a school-aged child. His wife, who appears in the photo, prepares clothes for industry.
Konr V. has been very busy at his business because there are many people who order him to construct their buildings. However, he is still lacking the material for construction. Because he doesn’t have money, he decided to ask a loan from Kiva through HKL tto buy more material so he can supply the good services he provides.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
