Divin Niño Jesús Group
In this Group: Clotilde , Delia , Gloria , Daysi , Maria , Teodosia , Marlene , Dalva , Jessica , Fatima, Laura , Gloria , Gladys , Virginia , Flora
The Divino Niño Jesús comittee was formed a year ago when most of the original members left and the remaining ones decided among themselves to form a new committee hoping to grow and not commit the same mistakes from the past.

Currently, the group is made up of 15 women who live in the Divino Niño Jesús de San Lorenzo settlement. In the last cycle, they had a problem with one of the women who withdrew the funds. The rest of them, notwithstanding the poverty in which they live, assumed their fellow member’s debt, they repaid it and were able, therefore, to continue to have the possibility of working with the institution.

One of the group members is Clotilde who sells fruit from a stand in front of her house and often as a peddler in the city center. The latter occurs when she does not manage to sell all her fruit in her neighborhood and she does not earn sufficient income to sustain the business because she contributes heavily towards meeting household expenses, especially food.

Each woman has her own unique line of work, which is very interesting. The following list shows what each group member does:

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
