Benard O. K. is twenty-nine years old, married and has three children. He sells books to the college students, pupils and parents of school going children. His business is located off the highway in Oile market in Kisumu, Kenya. He has been doing this business for the last fifteen years and admits there are challenges of competition, bad weather and harrassment by the city council.
However, he is determined to grow his business and open his up his own bookshop in town. He is using his loan to buy more books to sell and he hopes to be the leading seller of reading materials. He is hardworking, patient and honest.
