Naji is a 30-year-old married man with one child. In 2008, he opened a small restaurant in his town as his own business because this market is well known in the whole region. He offers snacks, soft drinks and narjile, a special Lebanese tobacco, in his restaurant. All the clients visit him to have a good time and a comfortable seat with the narjile, the traditional tobacco.
Today, Naji is requesting to borrow $1,200 to purchase more food equipment and supplies to perform renovations to his shop and enlarge his operation.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
