Fatmeh is a 47-year-old married woman with 2 young children. In 2006, with the help of her husband, she opened a home market shop to sell home accessories, supplies and tools. She provides all that is needed at her shop to satisfy the demand of her clients. And she always offers all the new products in the market. Today, Fatmeh is asking to borrow $1,000 to purchase new merchandise for her shop after having a good number of clients buy in her shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
