Merlinda is a young woman who used to make a living by selling food, but she quit that activity since she was finishing her college studies to be a dental surgeon. After she stopped selling food, she purchased a minibus, and currently she and her husband, Santos, have two minibuses. Santos drives one of the minibuses, and the other is used for chaffeuring, for which Merlinda receives daily rent. Now their minibuses are used in the Sindicato Simon Bolivar, a very important and well known union in the city. Merlinda and Santos are very hardworking and responsible people. The credit that they are requesting is for the repair of the motor and purchase of a gearbox for one of the minibuses.
They are very appreciative of Emprender and Kiva for the confidence provided to them through this loan grant.
