Suh
G. is married and has four children. She lives in the heart of metropolitan Bamenda, Cameroon. She plans to invest this loan in dressmaking and in the cultivation of yam and cassava. Specifically, she will purchase cloth for dressmaking, yam seedlings for her farm, and will pay for the clearing and hoeing of her farm in order to plant yam and cassava. Her yam and cassava farm is located outside the main town whereas her dressmaking workshop is in the town.

G. has been a GHAPE member since 2008 and this is her second loan. Yam sells at a high price while cassava can be processed into many other products such as garri and waterfufu for marketing. G. is also a longtime fashion designer and has many customers.

With the profits from this loan, G. plans to buy a piece of land for her family to construct a house on. She also plans to take care of her family, ensure that they eat well, and buy their medication. She knows she will be able to repay this loan because of the low interest rate and the small repayment installments.
