Ms. Anta K. is a 52-year-old married woman who has been a member of the U-IMCEC branch of Baye Laye since August 2009.  She lives in the town of Homo 6, a place encompassing the area of Guediawaye.  She has already benefited from a loan already repaid within IMCEC.  She is practically the family's breadwinner, since she is the mother of seven children, whose ages range from 12 to 25 years.

Ms. K. has over twenty years of experience in the commerce of flowers, fabrics, bed sheets, and second-hand clothing.  She goes to the Dakar fair and to the big markets.  She was born into a large family of merchants.  And because of this, she was familiarized with this work by one of her aunts, who used to travel to Turkey and who taught her commerce in flowers in the first place.  The best times for her business are during the events surrounding Tabaski, Korite, and New Year's Day.

Ms. K. is requesting a loan of 500,000 francs for bolstering her stock of merchandise.  Her supplies will be purchased through brokers who go to Dubai.   But her greatest dream is to do the traveling herself in the future.

Thanks to the loans taken out, she is able to boost her inventory and to diversify her products. Improving her profit margin helps her as a result to build up some personal savings and to think about future projects.  Above all, it's a way of meeting family needs.
