This village bank loan group consists of ten members who receive individual loans but who are bound by a group guarantee. Mrs. Uok S. is the village bank president who lives in Thma Sa village in Takeo province.

She is a salt middle-woman. Her husband, Mr. C. Nub, is a motorbike repairer. He needs some equipment to support this work and to make it better. Thus, Mrs. Uok S. is requesting a loan to buy a machine to support the motorbike store. She is 37 years old and the mother of three children, one of whom is employed in a garment factory while the others attend the local school. Mr. Bros S. and Mr.Thy T. did not come to take loan but their wife were, so they are presented in the picture instead.
