Chen P., 48, is married and lives with her five children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. P. has a business weaving Cambodia traditional silk, earning an income of US $3 per day. She has been doing this business since 2004. Her husband raises ducks to produce eggs for sale, earning US $3 per day. P. and her family members try to work hard and help each other to ensure a good standard of living for the family. And they are seeking to improve their businesses as well as to take care of the daily necessary expenses. Therefore, P. is requesting a loan of US $1,000 from CREDIT, Kiva’s partner. She wants to use the loan to buy more ducks to raise for their eggs. This is her first loan from CREDIT.
