Krouch L. is a widow who lives with her two school-aged children in Phnom Penh City, Cambodia. L. is a chef for a Korean restaurant in the city. She is able to earn an income of $100 per month.
L. and her family members try to work hard and help each other to ensure a good standard of living for the family. They are seeking to improve their businesses as well to keep up with the daily necessary expenses. Therefore, L. is requesting a loan of $1,000 from CREDIT, a Kiva partner. She wants to use the loan to buy a motorbike to commute to work. This is her first loan from CREDIT.
