Leng S., 61, is married and lives with four of her children in the Takeo province. She and her husband are farmers who typically make about $1 each day and are supported by four of their children who work in the garment factories.
Leng S. would like to take out a loan of $800 she needs to purchase rice and take off the husk with the intention of reselling the rice and turning over a profit. She is confident that this will be a good business venture and sees it as a tool to increase her income and raise her family’s standard of living.
