Sou V., 47, is a widow who lives with her three children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. V. works for the village as a consultant, earning an income of $1.50 per day to help the family. The family is assisted by two of her children, who work at a restaurant in the town as waiters and earn an income of $3 each per day.
V. and her family members try to work hard and help each other to ensure a good standard of living for the family. They are seeking to improve their businesses as well to meet their daily necessary expenses. As a result, V. is requesting a loan of $800 from CREDIT, a Kiva partner. She wants to use the loan to purchase a motorbike to commute to work. This is her third loan from CREDIT.
