Bein C. is 46 years old and lives with her husband and five children in Takeo province. She is a silk scarf weaver who is able to make about US$3.50 of profit a day. In one day, she is able to weave about five to ten scarves. Her husband stays at home and helps her to weave scarves, too. Three of the children are in school and one is a garment factory worker. Bein C. would like to take out a loan of US$600 to purchase silk and materials so that she can make more scarves to sell at the market every day. (Bein C. is pictured with her husband and one of her daughters.)
