Victoria Lili, 36, is a member of the “Esmeralda” communal bank, which is in the Tarapoto district, San Martín department. She has two children who still are dependent on her. Victoria Lili, as she is affectionately called, sells anticuchos (grilled meats on skewers). She has been in this line of work for several years; she tends to her customers in her own home in an area that is set up for this purpose. She tells us that her daily sales are good because her dishes are very tasty; she is well-known and well-liked. She continues in this line of work and she is very happy with her daily tasks. She, herself, tends to her customers with her characteristic good humor and charisma. She will use the 3000 sol loan to buy ingredients for her meals like: kilos of rice, liters of cooking oil, crates of chickens, vegetables as well as some utensils to provide better customer service. She feels full of life and the will to continue forging ahead; she has many dreams and goals in life like setting up her own, well-stocked and equipped grocery store. She is grateful to the Manuela Ramos Movement for helping her start her business.
