Mr. Phan N. is 32 years old and married and lives with his wife in Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. He is self-employed as a blacksmith earning around $4 each day, while his wife works in a rice paddy earning only a meager sum. He and his wife have three children. Two of them are students, and the third is too young to attend school. Mr. Phan N. is currently requesting a loan to purchase tools for his business.
