Grace is a businesswoman who makes a living selling clothes, linen and lace. She hawks her goods on her own, and moves them very quickly. She is 43 years old, married and has five children. Four of her children are in school, while her oldest is learning a trade. She supports her family with the income she earns from her business. She has been working for eight years, but growth is slow due to insufficient funds. She buys her goods in Accra, Ghana's capital, and hopes that this loan will allow her to expand her business and increase her income. She is grateful for the assistance she receives from Kiva lenders.
