Zainab Zarmina Group
Amina is the group leader. She is married and the supporter of the seven members of her family. Amina wants to take a loan for her son. For more than two years he has had a fresh fruit cart, and with this loan he wants to buy more fruit for his cart.
Zarmina is the second member of Zainab Zarmina group. She has a carpet-weaving business, the income from which she uses to support her family. Her purpose in requesting a loan is to expand her business.
The third member of the group is Shokria, who is an embroiderer. With this loan she wants to buy some necessary things for her embroidery business.
The last member of Zainab Zarmina group is Zainab. She is busy with her carpet-weaving business. With this loan she wants to buy more materials for her weaving.
These four members have requested a group loan of 40,000 AFN. They want to thank all lenders from Kiva and AFS in Afghanistan.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
