Our member Sonia is 30 years old, is married and has four kids. All of her kids depend on her: José Carlos is 9 years old, Rosmery is 6, Lizandro is 4 and Yuliana is 2. All of them are in school. Sonia is from the city of Urubamba in the department of Cusco and she belongs to the JOSE CARLOS MARIATEGUI Village Bank, part of the Arariwa Association. She has to get up early to do her household chores such as making breakfast and lunch for her husband and children. Then she goes to the Sidrachayoc market at 6 in the morning to sell fruit until 5 in the afternoon. She has been in business for two years and things are going well thanks to her determination. She tells us that Mondays and Thursdays she travels to the city of Quillabamba to bring back fruit. She needs the loan to buy more fruit such as bananas, papayas and many others.

She is very greatful for the opportunity given her by this program and she is committed to pay back the loan on time.

The city of Urubamba is 78 km from the city of Cusco, approximately an hour and a half away. The city of Urubamba is found in the heart of the Valle Sagrado. In the pre-hispanic era, it was a very important center of agriculture.

Nuestra socia Sonia tiene 30 años, es casada y tiene cuatro hijos y todos sus hijos dependen de ella: José Carlos tiene 9 años, Rosmery tiene 6 años, Lizandro tiene 4 años y Yuliana tiene 2 años y todos estudian en el colegio. La socia Sonia es natural de la ciudad de Urubamba departamento del Cusco y pertenece al Banco Comunal “JOSE CARLOS MARIATEGUI” de la Asociación Arariwa. La socia tiene que madrugar para hacer sus actividades del hogar como por ejemplo preparar desayuno y almuerzo para su esposo y sus hijos. La socia después de hacer sus actividades del hogar tiene que ir a las 6 de la mañana al mercado “Sidrachayoc” a vender frutas hasta las 5 de la tarde. Ya son dos años que se dedica al negocio y le ha ido buen bien gracias al empeño que en su trabajo. La socia nos cuenta que los días lunes y jueves, viaja a la ciudad de Quillabamba para traer las frutas en camiones. La socia requiere el préstamo para comprar mas frutas como plátanos, papayas y muchas más.

La socia se encuentra agradecida por la oportunidad brindada mediante este medio y así mismo se compromete a cumplir con el pago correspondiente al cronograma.

La ciudad de Urubamba se encuentra a 78 Km. de la Ciudad del Cusco aproximadamente a una hora y media de viaje. La ciudad de Urubamba se halla en el corazón del Valle Sagrado. En la época prehispánica fue un centro agrícola muy importante.
