Mrs. Heng Kim L., 31, is married with four children, who are all students. All six of them live together in the Kandal Province of Cambodia. Heng Kim L. earns about $2 a day making and selling Khmer traditional cake. Her husband is a talented mechanic who repairs and re-sprays used motorbikes before selling them at a profit. He currently makes $8 a day from this activity, but he would like to increase this by expanding his business. Mrs. Heng Kim L. is applying for this loan in order to purchase more motorbikes for her husband to improve and sell. An increase in the businesses profits would translate into an increase in the family's earnings.
