Hawa J., who trades in cutlery and enamel dishes, owns a shop in the central business area. She is married to a businessman and has three children, all in primary school. Hawa is requesting a loan to buy additional cutlery and enamel dishes from Freetown and Conakry to increase her stock, sales and profit, and hopes to use the proceeds of the loan to expand her business and educate her children up to the university level.
