Josiane K. was born on 26 April 1976 in Porto-Novo, the administrative capital of Benin. She is married to Eric DEDEGBE, a teacher, and is the mother of two children, both of whom are in school. Josiane also takes care of one other child. The family has been living in Hèvié in Aborney Calavi (not very far from Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin) for the last four years. The couple provide together for the family. Josiane attended school all the way to university level. For the last four years, she has been the manager of a center where people have access to telephones and internet. She also provides photocopies as well as selling ice cream. She is asking for this first loan from Alidé in order to purchase a photocopier, in order to better serve her clients. Josiane hopes to one day open a cyber center in Cotonou.

Josiane sollicite ce premier crédit auprès de ALIDé, afin de s’approvisionner en photocopieur, pour mieux satisfaire sa clientèle. Josiane ambitionne ouvrir plus tard un cyber centre dans la ville de Cotonou.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
