Guadalupe Esperanza
Doña Guadalupe is 37 years old and procreated two children who are in college. Her husband is retired and with much support, her small house is humble and already very old for lack of money. It hasn’t been made with concrete. Thanks to God, she has been working as a professional nurse for 14 years although there have been many economic problems to attain her secondary education.

When she started she worked as a hospital assistant and just advanced because she was passing a course. This was a big achievement that she can now work in what she likes and her income will be better. With this financing, she will buy rock, sand and cement to begin constructing a small kitchen which is much needed. Her plans are that she can finish her medical career although this is a costly career and it is for this reason that many students don’t finish their studies due to economic reasons.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
