Grace is fifty-six years old. She is divorced but a mother of three children, some of whom are still in school. She lives with her children in a rented apartment in a fishing community in the central region of Ghana. Grace works very hard to be able to provide for the family. She is a trader in beef. She buys the beef from nearby towns and sells on a table top at the market square in her community. She also supplies to food vendors in her community. Grace has been in business for five years and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk so she can supply to more customers to increase her profit margin.
