Nemesio De Jesus
Nemesio lives in the Lomas del Memorial Sandino neighborhood. He is married and has two children. He works as a driver. His salary has not sufficed to make improvements on the condition of his house. With the previous loans he has been buying materials like rocks, sand, and iron. But, he has not started to build because he could not afford it. All of the products are expensive. With this he plans to make his house concrete. Then he will enjoy a decent dwelling where he can see his efforts.

He thanks the institution for the loan. If it were not for the loans, he would not be able to make the improvements because of his economic situation. It is only possible through the loan. He is happy that he will finish his house.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
