Mrs. Aida is the mother of 3 children, and separated from her husband a year ago. She has worked for the past 5 years selling American clothing, mainly shoes, in the Rotunda del Plan 3000, a heavily populated area in the city of Santa Cruz. She lives in a house in Anticrético. Before separating from her husband, they managed to save $5,000 US to rent that house. She currently maintains conctact with her husband, and thanks to their children, their father is not neglecting his responsibilities as the father of the family. She counts on her son to watch after his younger siblings while she sells her merchandise every day. She belongs to a group called 'Amanecer' ('Sunrise').

Her dream is to be able to buy the house where they are currently living; for this reason she is working long and hard. She is a new client in our institution and was referred by another client.

American clothing sales is a very important business in Bolivia, and mainly done in local markets like the 16 de Julio market in the city of La Paz, or the flea market in the city of Santa Cruz, places where one can buy clothing for 10 cents on the dollar.

La Sra.Aida, madre de 3 niños y separada hace un año, trabaja vendiendo Ropa Americana, principalmente zapatos desde hace 5 años en la Rotonda del Plan 3000 zona bastante populosa de la ciudad de Santa CRuz. Vive en una casa en Anticrético, antes de que se separara de su esposo lograron reunir la suma de $us 5000 con lo que arrendaron esa vivienda, actualmente mantiene contacto con su esposo gracias a sus hijos, por eso el padre no está eludiendo su responsabilidad de padre de familia. Cuenta con el apoyo de su hijo en el cuidado de sus hermanos pequeños mientras ella vende su mercadería todos los días. Pertenece a una asociación llamada “Amanecer”.

El sueño que tiene la señora es el de poder comprar la casa donde vive actualmente, para lo cual esta trabajando fuerte y duro, cliente nueva en nuestra institución que llego por referencia de otra clienta.

La venta de ropa americana, es una actuvudad muy importante en Bolivia, principalmente su comercialización se realiza en ferias locales como la feria 16 de Julio en la ciudad de La Paz o la feria de los cachivaches en Santa Cruz, lugares en los que encuentras ropa 10 centavos de dólar.
