Alejandra M. is from the village of Seti, Jimenez, Misamis Occidental. She is 53 years old and is married with four adult-aged children. Alejandra is a farmer who grows corn for sale. Alejandra has been engaged in her business for more than five years and earns approximately 2,000.00 PHP a month.
In 2008, Alejandra joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business. Alejandra has successfully repaid a previous loan of 3,000 PHP from GDMPC. Alejandra is requesting a second loan of 4,000 PHP to purchase additional seeds, seedlings, and young crops to raise. She plans to use the additional revenues generated from the loan to improve the general living conditions of her family.
