In this Group: Maricela , Silvia , María
Marisela del Socorro M. Chavarría, María Dolores G. and Silvia Lorena B. Gonzales make up the group Guayacan. They are three female entrepreneurs, fighters, and hard workers. Miss Marisela del Socorro M. Chavarría has been selling cosmetics, creams, and perfumes door-to-door for eight years in addition to having her own sewing shop. In the same way María Dolores G. Carballo sells cosmetics and underwear on the streets of Managua and Silvia Lorena B. Gonzales distributes clothing and cosmetics. From the early hours of the day the women prepare themselves to go out and work and they return to their houses exhausted from the long walks in the sun and the incessant heat of Nicaragua. But upon seeing their children, they know that what they do is for their wellbeing.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
