Afif is a 50 year-old man who lives in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, with his wife and their three children. For the last ten years, Afif has been a taxi driver. Afif is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Al Majmoua in order to do some maintenance work on his car and pay for his children's university tuition fees. Afif has been a microcredit client for three years now and has always paid on time. His clients are everyone. Competition is the main obstacle he has been facing. He plans to improve and expand his work in the future, but his main concern now is to give the best education possible to his children so that they can succeed in their lives.
