Marguerite D. was born in 1956 in Allada in the Atlantic County of Bénin. For close to 20 years, Marguerite has lived in Cadjèhoun in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. Marguerite is married to Mama Saïbou SALIFOU, a treasury agent in Benin. The couple supports three children; two of them are their own. All the children attend school. Marguerite lives together with her children and her husband. Marguerite’s husband alone provides for the family’s expenses.

Marguerite only attended elementary school. For 16 years now, Marguerite’s activity has been the sale of eggs from her home. Marguerite makes her purchases at Dantokpa, the international market of Benin.

Marguerite is a previous customer of ALIDé. She has already received two loans from ALIDé; those have been paid in full. She would like to increase and also diversify her activity in acquiring and selling wood coal. Thus, Marguerite is requesting a third loan from AlLIDé.
