Josphine is 37 years old and married with five children between the ages of nine and sixteen. She has a business selling fish in the Kawangware area of Nairobi. She sells Tilapia and has been in business for fifteen years. She describes herself as a very focused and determined woman.
She successfully completed a previous loan from the Kiva field partner, Faulu, for 20,000 KES and says since she joined Faulu she has been able to expand her business and is now also selling clothing. She requested this loan of 40,000 KES from Faulu to buy more fish to sell. In the future, she hopes to have a full clothing shop and become a wholesale fish supplier.
