Akbarali is one of the most hardworking young men in the area where he lives, which differentiates him from other local residents and makes him stand out as a well-respected and very important member of his community. Farming requires a lot of effort which is why, from a young age, Akbarali has dedicated himself to this business and today is seeking a way to expand his efforts in order to support his family which consists of his wife and a little son.

Because his crop provides the main income for the family, Akbarali is seeking a loan of 3,000 Somoni to plow more farmland and purchase seeds and fertilizer. Tajikistan is known for its rich history, which includes a key post along the Silk Road and the end of Alexander the Great's rule. It has also produced great thinkers, philosophers, scientists and poets, including Rudaki, Avicenna, Ferdowsi, Omar Khayyam, Jomi, and Rumi. These conditions have resulted in high levels of unemployment and have forced hundreds of thousands to seek work in other countries, mainly Russia. While the people of Tajikistan are working to improve its agricultural production and manufacturing sector, nearly two-thirds of the population still live in abject poverty.
