Prossy Babinye is 32 years old and the leader of her group in Lugazi. She is married and cares for her two children and her elderly parents. Prossy is a farmer who sells her crops at the Kikawula Trading Center, the central market in town.
She has been in the business for one year and has learned a tremendous amount from the experience. Customers would sometimes not pay for her produce on time, making it difficult for her to operate, but now she requires all payment up front. She would like to use the loan to inject more capital into her business to insure a steady supply of goods for her customers. With continued hard work and determination, she hopes to one day be able to educate all her children and build her family a modern home.
