Mathew is 27 years old. He is married with a child who is still breastfeeding from its mother. 'Mathew the fisher', as he is popularly called by his peers, has been a professional carpenter for some years now. Carpentry has been his major occupation and the main source of livelihood for his family. He owns a carpentry shop where he manufactures all kinds of furniture. He has one apprentice who is learning skills and training for his future career. He has been in business for the last six years now. He said because of a lack of adequate working capital, he is not able to pre-finance most of the orders from his customers. This, he said, slows down his work because he has to wait for funds from his customers before any work can begin, which most often causes delays. He requests the loan to enable him procure useful working tools and furnishing materials like polish, glue, sand paper, wood, etc., to improve on his efficiency. He believes this will improve his income status to ensure a good living for his family. He would grateful for the assistance.
