Ramón Núñez

Ramón Núñez is 43 years old and lives in the village of J. Augusto Saldivar, a few miles from Asuncion.

Ramón has two trucks, one of which he uses for the transportation of fruit and vegetables to sell at farmer’s markets, supermarkets, meat markets, and shops in the neighborhoods of Asunción and surrounding areas. He has been delivering fruit and vegetables for more than 15 years. With the other truck, Ramón moves freight and make other large deliveries. He has been in that business for over 4 years.

Ramón started his business with a horse-drawn cart in a busy neighborhood. After working hard for many years, he saved the money necessary to replace his horse and cart with a truck. Ramón also has 33 hectares of land, which he received as an inheritance from his parents. There, Ramón plants vegetables, which he also then harvests and sells from his truck.

Ramón needs a loan so that he can repair his truck, an indispensable part of his business.
