Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $425 helped to buy more clothes for sale.

Samwel's story

Samwel M. is 32 years old and married to Veronicah M.; they have three school-aged children. He has been selling clothes in Naivasha town for one year now.

He was introduced to KADET by his friend and this will be his second loan after having repaid his first loan. He plans to stock more children's clothing, especially as this is the peak season for sales.

His future dreams are to open a wholesale shop that will sell household goods and farming products.
