Ahmad is a young Palestinian man living in Bethlehem. He is married with six children.
Ahmad owns a barber shop in the old city of Bethlehem. He started this business when he was still 18 years old as he likes hairstyles. He took several training sessions to be professional. He has another employee in the shop who helps him, as barber shops in Palestine work for long hours, starting in the morning and running till late in the evening. They have only Monday as their day off (a requirment of the Barber Association).
Ahamad requested from FATEN a 3,000 USD loan to renovate his shop and make new decor to attract more customers. He will also use the loan to buy new products for hair and skin treatment.
Ahmad appears in the picture at the entrance to his shop.
