Eang O. is asking for a loan of US $600 to purchase a new motorbike for her family. O., 55, is married with three children. The family is supported by her husband (in the photo) who makes walking sticks out of wood, earning US $5 per day to help cover the family's expenses. To make a living, O. sells food (lunch and dinner) to her new and regular customers, earning approximately US $10 per day as the primary source of income for the family. They live in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia.
This is her first loan from Kiva’s partner, CREDIT. She says that a motorbike will enable her family to cut back on public transportation expenses.
