She has obtained three loans before from HOPE RDC that she repaid completely and on time.  With the next loan, she intends to buy some medicines, such as antibiotics, to resell in order to grow her revenues.  Her business now brings in a profit of $232 a week for her. 

Her ambition is to open one day a medical center for serving the people in her area and for expanding her work.

Annie is 34 years old, married, and the mother of only one child, who is four years old and in school.

Annie gère sa propre pharmacie qu’elle a commencée en 2003. Elle aime son activité et rêve d’aller plus loin grâce à cet appui financier. Elle a déjà obtenu 3 fois les prêts de l’IMF HOPE RDC qu’elle a payé totalement et à temps. Annie compte acheter avec le prochain crédit quelques médicaments tels que les antibiotiques à revendre pour accroitre le revenu. Son affaire lui procure aujourd’hui un bénéfice de $323 par semaine. Son ambition est d’ouvrir un jour un centre médical pour desservir la population de son milieu et étendre ses activités. Annie a l’âge de 34 ans, mariée et mère d’un seul enfant scolarisé et âgé de 4 ans.

HOPE International has been providing small business loans and savings services to thousands of entrepreneurs in DRC since 2004. HOPE DRC targets small business owners who can use loans to increase their inventories or invest in assets that have the potential to increase their incomes. Funds from Kiva lenders play a major role in expanding access to affordable, flexible capital for micro-entrepreneurs, 80% of whom are women.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
