Alice is sixty years old. She is widowed and has given birth to seven children, all now in school. She lives with her children in a rented apartment in Kade. Kade is a farming/commercial town in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Alice is a trader. She runs a provision store by the roadside in her community. Alice has been in business for ten years and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk to increase her stock. She wants to give her children the best education she can afford.
