Seng S., 53, is married with three school-aged children. He resides in Battambong Province, Cambodia, with his wife and children. To make a living, he operates his motorbike as a taxi driver everywhere in the town, earning an income of $5 per day. The family is assisted mainly by his wife, who is engaged in a business of selling sugar cane juice, earning collectively an income of $8 per day as a primary source of income for the family to help cover the household expenses.
Mr. S. and his family members are seeking to improve their standard of living. Therefore, he is asking for a loan of $800 to purchase a new motorbike to improve his current business. His old motorbike is unreliable and is often in need of repair, so he has decided that he wants to replace it.
