Mrs. Khmao Phan Village Bank Group

These seventeen villagers who make up the town bank’s loan group all live in Prek Reang village in Kandal province. Mrs. Khmoa Phan was selected by the group members to be the village bank president. She is 33 years old and the mother of four children, three of whom are attending the local school; her youngest is two years old. Her husband, Mr. Roeun Ry, is both a fisherman and a farmer who owns a small piece of land where he cultivates rice.

Khmoa breeds pigs and sells fish in the local market. She is requesting a loan through Angkor Microfinance Kampuchea (AMK)to buy more piglets for breeding and fishnets for fishing.
