Hamadi
Mr. Hamadi D. is a 39-year-old man and the father of seven children. He resides with his wife and children in Flaba, a village located 14 km from the city of Bougouni (3rd administrative region of the Republic of Mali). At age 15, Mr. Hamadi dropped out of Koran school (which he used to attend) for farm work, to his parents’ benefit. A few years later, he started doing revenue-generating work during the slow periods.

Today, his commercial work has surpassed farming. For six years now, he has been in business buying and selling grains (millet, corn, fonio, rice, etc.) This business operates in town, and some of the goods are sold at the Bougouni marketplace when the fair takes place.

Concerned about expanding his enterprise, he decided to join Soro Yiriwaso, with which he is now on his third individual loan after having repaid the two previous ones. This new loan will be used to buy sacks of grain a little at a time. Supplies are gotten from producers from villages surrounding Bougouni. And sales are made in cash at the retail level to customers composed of retailers and consumers.

He envisions realizing a monthly profit of 75,000 francs CFA. With the profits, he envisions expanding his enterprise further.
