Sok S., age 29, is single and lives with her sister. To make a living, she designs and sews clothes. She earns US $10.00 per day. Her income is the primary source of funds for her family. The family is also assisted by her sister, a hairdresser who earns US $4.00 per day. S. and her sister are seeking to improve their businesses and standard of living. Therefore, S. is asking for a loan of US $700 to purchase fabric to design more clothes to sell to her new and existing customers.
