Klod S., 29, is married with two school-aged children. She resides in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia with her husband (pictured) and children. To make a living she grows rice, earning approximately $6 per day. The family is mainly supported by her husband who is a skillful fisherman. He earns about $5 per day and this income pays for the education of their two children. Mrs. S. and her husband are seeking to improve their standard of living and to generate a better income. Therefore, S. is asking for a $700 loan to purchase a machine for her husband’s fishing boat. By doing so, her husband will be able to more easliy transport his fishing traps to the lake to go fishing.
