Rechel V. is from the village of Panalsalan Plaridel Misamis Occidental. She is 24 years old. Rechel is married. To make a living, Rechel owns and operates a fishing business, selling seafood to local community members. Rechel has been engaged in her business for over two years and earns approximately 1,500 PHP a month.
In 2009, Rechel joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Rechel has successfully repaid a previous loan of 3,500 PHP from GDMPC. Rechel is requesting a new loan of 5,000 PHP, which will be used to invest in expanding the business. This loan will be the second loan taken out by Rechel from GDMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement her family's income.
