Mari is fifty-five years old. She is married and has given birth to eight children, all of whom are in school. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in a busy commercial town called Ejura in the Ashanti region of Ghana. Mari works to support her husband financially to provide for the family.
Mari is a food vendor. She cooks and sells rice with stew, selling by the roadside from morning till evening. She procures the goods from nearby towns.
Mari has been in business for over fifteen years and wants a loan to procure bags of rice and other ingredients in bulk. She is hopeful to give her children the best education she can afford.
