Ana Maria Pantoja Perez is 47 years old and lives in the Salaverry district, Trujillo province, department of La Libertad. She belongs to the “Las Auroras En Acción” Communal Bank. Ana went to school up to the third year of high school but could not continue because she became pregnant and had to devote herself to the home and the raising of her children. She is a single mother and has had to work from an early age to support her children without help. She has five children, and three of these, plus a grandson, depend on her economically.

Ana’s business is selling fuel to boats in the port. With her first loan of 300 soles, she began also selling food, and she purchased wholesale foods: rice, sugar, potatoes, beans, oil, pasta, etc.

With this credit of 2300 soles, she will buy a moto-taxi (a motorcycle with attached cab) to deliver the fuel to the boats. Ana dreams of buying more moto-taxis and renting them out. This would increase her earnings and allow her to buy the necessities for her children and grandson.

La señora ANA MARIA PANTOJA PEREZ, tiene 47 años, vive en el distrito de Salaverry, provincia de Trujillo, departamento La Libertad – Perú. La socia pertenece al Banco Comunal LAS AURORAS EN ACCION. Ella presenta estudios hasta 3ro. de secundaria no pudo continuar sus estudios porque a temprana edad quedo embarazada y tuvo que dedicarse a las labores del hogar y a la crianza de sus hijos. Ana es madre soltera por lo cual desde joven tuvo que trabajar para criar a su hijos sin ayuda de nadie, tiene 5 hijos de los cuales 3 y 1 nieto dependen económicamente de ella. La socia se dedica a la venta de combustibles de las lanchas del puerto. Con su primer crédito de 300 nuevos soles empezó a vender menús y comprò productos alimenticios al por mayor como: arroz , azúcar, papa, menestras, aceite, fideos, etc.
Con este crédito de 2,300 nuevos soles comprará un moto taxi para poder así repartir y transportar el combustible que vende a las lanchas.
Ana sueña con comprar más moto taxis y alquilarlas para así poder aumentar sus ganancias y poder cubrir las necesidades de sus hijos y nieto
