Peace A. is 44 years old. She is married with 6 children between 14 and 23 years old. All her children go to to school. She owns a six-room house where she resides with eight people. (She also takes care of additional family members.) The family has access to electricity and piped water at home.
Peace works 7 days a week selling fried and raw cassava. She works in the outskirts of Kampala. Peace has been in this business for 7 months and in MCDT for 5 years servicing her tenth loan. She will use this loan to buy more sacks of cassava and cooking oil for frying cassava. She aspires to see her business grow bigger and to start going to farmers directly.
